PTC-Resistors

The core element of a PTC resistor is the ceramic thermistor. The positive temperature coefficient is the special feature of this resistor, which allows the original resistance value to increase exponentially from a jump temperature of approx. 140°C upwards. The high-impedance resistance then prevents a further thermal rise and thus protects itself. With nominal power ratings between 35 and 140W, it can be ideally integrated into servo drives or smaller frequency inverters.
